| EXPERIENCE WITH INTERACTIVE COURSES |
Dr. John Childs has directed more than 200 computer-based training (CBT) and multimedia projects for business, higher education, and K-12 education. From 1978 to 1983 he was the principal investigator and director of a large PLATO course design and development project conducted jointly by Control Data Corporation and Wayne State University. The project developed fundamental processes for the implementation of PLATO Learning Management and for highly structured self-study courses ranging from a complete curriculum in instructional technology at the Masters degree level, to a single highly technical course in computer processor chip design. Immediately following completion of the PLATO project, Dr. Childs' training design and development firm, Childs and Associates (now Childs Consulting Associates, Inc.) initiated commercial CBT design and development projects. Members of our full-time staff have been actively involved in design, development, and production. We regularly employ other experienced, specialized contract personnel as well. |
