Print Room Equipment Replacement & Upgrade or
Alternate Print Room Services

The Genesee Intermediate School District (GISD) is seeking bids to obtain the best possible proposal(s) for print room equipment replacement and upgrade or the best possible proposal for alternative print room services as described in each bid section The RFP will be available from the District’s Technology Designer beginning Friday, December 3, 2004. Bid documents are available electronically through the CCA Web site (www.childs.com/invitations). Direct request form available here. The RFP states the bid requirements. Among the requirements are: an RFP compliance form, A Public Act 232 certification, a vendor profile form, and a base bid cost summary form that shall be returned by all bidders. All bidders must submit unit pricing. Each bidder shall submit with his/her proposal either a bid bond or a certified check equal to five percent (5%) of the total base bid amount payable to the Genesee Intermediate School District.

In accordance with Michigan School Code Section 129.201, before awarding the work, successful contractor(s) must obtain Performance and Payment Bond (PLM) for any project exceeding $50,000. The Performance and Payment Bond shall be in an amount equal to the contract amount. The Performance and Payment Bond shall be solely for the protection of the GISD. A surety company authorized to do business in the State of Michigan shall execute the Performance and Payment Bond.

The GISD will receive sealed proposals for the above project at the Davis Building, Entrance #1, 2413 W. Maple Ave., Flint, MI 48507; Attention Cynthia McCain, Executive Director, Finance. Three (3) copies of a sealed bid, an electronic copy of the RFP cost summary form (in Excel), the required PL 232 certification, and respondent’s bid bond or certified check are required submissions with the proposal.

Bids are due Thursday, at 2:00 p.m. December 16, 2004. No electronic bids (fax or e-mail) will be accepted. The GISD Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informality therein, or to award the contract to other than the lowest bidder, whichever is in the best interest of the GISD.

Bids received after the stated due date and time will be returned to vendors unopened.
