GenNET Maintenance and Restoration of Outside Fiber Plant

Genesee Intermediate School District (GISD) invites qualified suppliers to submit proposals / bids for Maintenance and Restoration of Outside Fiber Plant. The District reserves the unrestricted right to reduce the contract amount by reducing the scope of work and/or components in order to meet budget requirements. Unit pricing, as specified in the bid proposal, will be used to control contract adjustments. Any contract adjustments will be made before specific work on a project component has commenced.

BIDS ARE DUE at 2:00 p.m. local time on March 4, 2010.

On behalf of the GenNET Board, Genesee Intermediate School District , fiscal agent, will receive
sealed proposals for the above project at the Davis Education Center , 2413 W. Maple Road , Flint , MI 48507 , Attention: Cynthia McCain, Assistant Superintendent for Business Services, until the stipulated bid opening date and time. Bids received after the stipulated date and time will not be considered and will be returned unopened. Bids will be opened (bids without a bid bond will be retained for the files and will not be read or evaluated) and read at a public meeting scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on March 4, 2010 at Genesee ISD, 2413 W. Maple Rd., Flint, MI 48507-3493. Bids must be clearly marked GenNET RFP for Maintenance and Restoration of Outside Fiber Plant. The RFP contains the specific requirements for all bids.  Among the requirements in the RFP are: Provide three (3) complete sets (original and 2 copies) of your response to the RFP, including a bid bond, PA232 Statement, an RFP compliance form, a base bid cost summary form and other documents. Bidders must indicate an installation time schedule for the work specified in this RFP. All interested bidders may obtain copies of the RFP, drawings, and specifications from Childs Consulting Associates, Inc., beginning January 26, 2010. A minimum of 5% bid security, either in the form of a bid bond or cashier’s check payable to Genesee Intermediate School District , must accompany each bid (see RFP for rules for calculating the bid bond amount).

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the GISD Davis Building (2413 W. Maple Ave., Flint, Michigan, 48507) on February 4, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. Genesee Intermediate School District and the GenNET Board reserve the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities in bids.
