The
RFP states all requirements of an acceptable response. Faxed or
e-mail responses will NOT be accepted. A pre-bid meeting will be
held on 11 October 2004 at 11:00 AM at the Fillmore Street Complex
Administration Building.
Each
bidder shall submit with his/her proposal either a bid bond or a
certified check equal to five percent (5%) of the total base bid
amount payable to the County of Ottawa. Before awarding the work,
successful contractor(s) must obtain a Performance and Payment
Bond
for any project exceeding $50,000. The Performance and Payment
Bond shall be in an amount equal to the contract amount. The
Performance and Payment Bond shall be solely for the protection of
the County of Ottawa. A surety company authorized to do business
in the State of Michigan shall execute the Performance and Payment
Bond (see sample contract available at www.childs.com
for additional information).

Proposals
are due 22 October 2004 at 1:00 PM
(local time). No
electronic quotes (fax or email) will be accepted. The County of
Ottawa reserves the right to accept or reject any or all
proposals, to waive any informality therein, or to award the
contract to other than the lowest bidder, whichever is in the best
interest of the County of Ottawa.
Proposals
received after the stated due date and time will be returned to
vendors unopened.
