Wireless Systems RFP

Walled Lake Consolidated Schools invites qualified firms to submit proposals / bids for Wireless Systems. The District reserves the unrestricted right to reduce the contract amount by reducing the scope of work and/or components in order to meet budget requirements. Unit pricing, as specified in the bid proposal, will be used to control contract adjustments. Any such action will be taken before specific work on a building or on a project component has commenced.

BIDS ARE DUE at 2:00 p.m. local time on October 20, 2008.

Walled Lake Consolidated Schools will receive sealed proposals for the above project at the District Offices, 850 Ladd Road , Building D, Walled Lake , MI 48390, Attention: Supervisor – Purchasing / Warehouse, Marilyn Smith, until the stipulated bid opening date and time. Bids received after the stipulated date and time will not be considered and will be returned unopened. Bids will be opened (bids without a bid bond will be retained for the files and will not be read or evaluated) and read at a public meeting scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on October 20, 2008 at 850 Ladd Road, Building D, Walled Lake, MI 48390. Bids must be clearly marked Walled Lake Consolidated Schools Wireless Systems RFP. The RFP contains the specific requirements for all bids.  Among the requirements in the RFP are: Provide four (4) complete sets (original and 3 copies) of your response to the RFP including an RFP compliance form and a base bid cost summary form. All interested bidders may obtain copies of the RFP, drawings, and specifications from Childs Consulting Associates, Inc., beginning September 19, 2008. Bid documents are available electronically by CLICKING HERE from (www.childs.com/invitations) or by UPS or Federal Express, COD or Receiver Account number, and by pick up at the following address. A minimum of 5% bid security, either in the form of a bid bond or cashier’s check payable to Walled Lake Consolidated Schools, must accompany each bid (see RFP for rules for calculating the bid bond amount).

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the Educational Service Center ( 850 Ladd Road , Building D, Walled Lake , MI 4839) on 10-06, 2008 at 9:00 AM. Site walk throughs will be held immediately after the pre-bid meeting. Vendors should plan on up to six (6) hours for site walk throughs. Walled Lake Consolidated Schools reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities in bids.
