PC Life Cycle Systems – (Laptops and Desktops) RFP

The Glen Lake Public School District invites qualified firms to submit proposals / bids for Personal Computers Life Cycle, Lease or Purchase. The District reserves the unrestricted right to reduce the contract amount by reducing the scope of work and/or components in order to meet budget requirements. Unit pricing, as specified in the bid proposal, will be used to control contract adjustments. Any such action will be taken before specific work on a building or on a project component has commenced.

BIDS ARE DUE at 2:00 p.m. local time on July 10, 2008.

The Glen Lake Public School District will receive sealed proposals for the above project at the District Office, 3375 W. Burdickville Road , Maple City , MI 49664-9608 , and Attention: Joan Groening, Superintendent, until the stipulated bid opening date and time. Bids received after the stipulated date and time will not be considered and will be returned unopened. Bids will be opened (bids without a bid bond will be retained for the files and will not be read or evaluated) and read at a public meeting scheduled for 2:05 p.m. on July 10, 2008 at Glen Lake Public School District offices, 3375 W. Burdickville Road, Maple City, MI 49664-9608. Bids must be clearly marked Glen Lake Public Schools – PC Life Cycle – (Laptops and Desktops) Proposal.

If the respondent wishes to deliver their response in person, prior to the above deadline, they should call 231 620 0414 to make specific arrangements for drop off of their response. The RFP contains the specific requirements for all bids.  Among the requirements in the RFP are: Provide four (4) complete sets (original and 3 copies) of your response to the RFP including an RFP compliance form and a base bid cost summary form. All interested bidders may obtain copies of the RFP, drawings, and specifications from Childs Consulting Associates, Inc., beginning June 24, 2008. Bid documents are available electronically by CLICKING HERE from (www.childs.com/invitations) or by UPS or Federal Express, COD or Receiver Account number, and by pick up at the following address. A minimum of 5% bid security, either in the form of a bid bond or cashier’s check payable to Glen Lake Public School District , must accompany each bid (see RFP for rules for calculating the bid bond amount).

A recommended pre-bid meeting will be held at the Glen Lake Public School District (3375 W. Burdickville Road) on June 30, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Glen Lake Public Schools reserve the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities in bids.
